Cerridwen (Crone) -

 Dahmianna Nightwind

Duties: The Cerridwen is responsible for re-dedication ceremonies. Other responsibilities include approving the membership book and helping to maintain the Coven Book of Shadows. All dark moon and eclipse ceremonies should be given to the Cerridwen for approval two weeks prior to the Esbat ritual. Spells centered on divination are the domain of the Cerridwen.

About Crone: The crone is where she has come to the height of her power. At this point she has become the great teacher. She has begun to learn the secrets of the universe and her power changes as she prepares to die. She has already learned the secrets of creation and now she prepares to once again be youthful when she is reborn once again as the maiden, renewed, refreshed and without the pains and wisdoms of her older age.

Cerridwen is one of the Old Ones, one of the great megalithic pre-Christian Goddesses of the Celtic World. Although, in her story, she embodies all three lunar aspects of the Goddess, Maiden, Mother and Crone, she is primarily worshipped in her Crone aspect, by and through her Cauldron of Wisdom, Inspiration, Rebirth and Transformation. The cauldron has an intimate association with femininity, together with the cave, the cup and the chalice, and the association of femininity with justice, wisdom and intelligence goes back to very ancient times.
